Ikhtiar Mohammad is a visiting researcher in Change Initiative. As full time researcher he joined BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University as Research Associate on 1 January 2019. Beforehand, Ikhtiar has worked both as development researcher and practitioner at BRAC Research and Evaluation Division (RED) and at BRAC International. Meanwhile, he served as the Business Consultant to the Technology Innovations for Growth in Agriculture (TIGA) Bangladesh project led by Center for Development Research (ZEF), University of Bonn. While governance and public policy are his areas of interest, he worked on issues such as sustainable skills development, decent work environment, child education, urban poor, ultra-poverty, microfinance, small enterprise finance, water, sanitation, sustainable agriculture, climate change, nature conservation, social media and e-commerce.
